To protect your piano from humidity fluctuations, we recommend having a Damp Chaser dehumidifier control system installed inside your piano.  The dehumidifier system is easy to maintain, as you only need to make sure it is always plugged in.  If your piano is worth over $1,000 a $200-$250 dehumidifier system is a worthwhile investment in keeping your piano from going further out of tune as the seasons change.  (Here in the D.C. area, the relative humidity much of the year is higher than the 42% which is recommended for pianos).  Also, over the long term, the system protects the woods, felts, and other parts in your piano keeping your piano from aging prematurely.  Call us for an exact quote to have us install a system.  Our price will include everything (parts, labor installation, shipping, sales tax, and mailing in the warranty card for you).
